Michael, our principal physiotherapist, began work in private practice after serving over five years in the public health system. After working in several busy clinics with seemingly disproportionate physiotherapy/patient ratios, Michael decided to open his own practice.
Fizzio for Life began with Michael working from a small one room clinic in Waterford in 2011 with a simple idea - back to basics patient care. The clinic has now expanded to new premises, but we remain committed to our core values.
At Fizzio for Life you won't spend your physiotherapy session plugged in to electronic machines while your therapist attends to other patients. Because our emphasis is on your well-being, our clinicians spend the entire appointment focussed on you and your treatment.
Our main goal is to empower you to be in charge of your health, so you can make informed decisions about your condition and take an active role in your recovery and rehabilitation. We offer time with your physiotherapist to learn exercises and techniques to manage your injuries, pain and increase your wellbeing. We are strongly committed to providing ethical, ‘hands on’ patient-centered care. No compromises.
Fizzio for Life has two clinics: Fizzio for Life at 1/22 Loganlea Road, Waterford West, and Fizzio for Life at 170 Jacaranda Avenue, Kingston (formerly Kingston Physiotherapy Centre).
We treat patients under:
- Private Health Funds
- Work Cover
