What NDIS services do we provide?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) helps people living with a disability get the personalised support they need. Our physiotherapy and exercise physiology services focus on building your mobility and strength, managing pain, preventing injuries and helping you to function in your environment. Our NDIS therapy can also have a very positive impact on creating independence, forming social connections and gaining employment.

As a registered NDIS provider, Fizzio For Life provides hands-on treatment to improve your functional movement and ultimately your quality of life. Here to support you, our physiotherapists and exercise physiologists develop a tailored exercise program that you can follow both with us (in our gym, at the pool or in a park) and at home.

If it is appropriate for you, our Therapy Assistant can then deliver the program, helping you to reduce the costs of any ongoing treatment. Closely supervising you throughout your program, we continuously reassess and adapt the exercises accordingly.

Providing fun and innovative ways for you to exercise and increase your capacity, our NDIS therapy team helps you to do more of the things you love.

Who do we treat under the NDIS?

The extensive experience and high skill level of our team enables us to cover a wide range of conditions. These include:

  • Stroke
  • Dementia
  • Paraplegia
  • Amputation
  • Intellectual disabilities
  • High-functioning ASD
  • Mental health

At all stages of your therapy, you can expect honest and ethical treatment from our professional team. We know there is a huge range of diversity within NDIS participants. If we feel your condition is outside our skill or experience level, we’ll do our utmost to put you in touch with a therapist who has the right expertise to help you.

The services we offer to our NDIS patients

We provide a range of individualised services to our NDIS patients, including:

How to access our NDIS services:

We offer in-clinic, telehealth and mobile appointments for our NDIS patients. As a registered NDIS provider we can treat agency, plan or self-managed clients. All we need is a copy of your goals, your NDIS participant number and the details of how your plan is managed. We can then set you up in our system ready for your first appointment.
If you are not yet an NDIS participant you can find out how to determine if you’re eligible and how to register HERE

What to expect in your initial NDIS assessment

Your initial NDIS assessment will take approximately one hour. During your consultation we will conduct a range of assessments, ask you some detailed questions about your goals and then work with you to develop a plan for your ongoing care.

Depending on your needs, the first plan following your initial assessment runs for approximately three months. This allows us time to get to know you, to see how you respond to your treatment and to adjust it moving forward as required.

Have a question about accessing therapy under the NDIS? We can help.

Offering you our full care and support, we can help you understand the NDIS and how it works in relation to your physiotherapy and exercise physiology needs and goals.
