Well over 40 Group Classes

Start Moving Well

45 minute class, up to 12 participants

Are you losing body strength because illness or injury is deterring you from being active? Perhaps the thought of “exercise” is scary? Or maybe you’ve popped it in the “too hard and too-busy-to-do-it” basket?

Understanding that exercise is so important for both our physical and mental health, our Start Moving Well class will slowly re‑introduce you to movement. After all, your body is designed to move!

* You do not need an individual assessment before commencing this class, but please let us know if you have any significant health issues.

What kind of exercises will I do?

Fun exercises, of course! This gentle group exercise class is conducted mainly on a seat. It includes a range of movement and resistance exercises, coupled with some gentle cardio. Equipment such as therabands, balls, and small weights may be used depending on your ability.

Is this class suitable for me?

This class is ideal for people who are new to exercise or haven’t exercised for a while. It’s also designed for individuals with mobility or balance issues or those recovering from certain health conditions. (There may be up to 12 people in this group.)
