Michael founded Fizzio for Life to provide thoughtful, patient-centred allied health care to the Logan community. Since opening the practice in 2010, he has remained committed to helping people improve their movement, manage health conditions and return to the activities that matter to them.

Michael has extensive experience in physiotherapy and rehabilitation across a wide range of injuries and health conditions. Having experienced injuries and intermittent back pain himself, he understands how pain can affect everyday life and the importance of feeling listened to and supported.

As both a physiotherapist and exercise physiologist, Michael brings together clinical treatment and individualised exercise to help people work towards improved function, mobility and wellbeing. He is also a qualified lymphoedema practitioner, supporting people who need help managing this condition.

Areas of experience

  • Physiotherapy and rehabilitation
  • Upper Limb injuries and conditions
  • Musculoskeletal conditions and injuries
  • Exercise physiology and chronic disease management
  • Complex rehabilitation needs

Alongside his clinical work, Michael leads the Fizzio for Life team and enjoys mentoring clinicians as they develop their skills. He believes good care starts with listening, understanding what matters to the patient and working together towards realistic goals.

Michael originally imagined working with tractors alongside his dad in the sugar cane industry. His early interest in rugby and coaching eventually led him towards exercise science and physiotherapy.

Outside work, Michael enjoys sport, particularly rugby union, and spending time on the water with his wife and dog.
